MaryBeth DeKara
MaryBeth "MB" DeKara is so excited to be a cast member at ImprovBoston! MB holds a Bachelors degree in Fine and Performing Arts from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and a Masters Degree in Theatre in Education from Emerson College . She has worked as a professional actor, arts administrator, and instructor since 2003 in North Carolina, New York and Massachusetts.
Joining the Boston comedy world by way of the Tribe Theater's Sea Mission: Aquanauts Prime, in 2006, MB has been performing on various teams for over a decade. At ImprovBoston, she has previously held the positions of Assistant to the Managing Director and producer of the Boston Comedy Arts Festival. MB has been a cast member and instructor at ImprovBoston since 2009 on such casts as On Deck, Shays' Rebellion, The ImprovBoston Family Show, Rich Uncle, Panamax, The ImprovBoston National Touring Company, and Rabbit.
MB teaches levels 101-501 in the ImprovBoston comedy school, come take class with her and discover the holistic power of Improv!
