Priya Shanmugam

Priya's first experience on-stage was in her kindergarten production of The Sound of Music, when she held up a brown paper package tied up with string during the part of the song that goes "brown paper packages tied up with string". She found her way back to performing thirteen years later when she started doing improv as a college freshman with her longform improv group, the Dog Day Players. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 2013, she moved to Boston and is now thrilled to be a member of IB's Harold Night team HOUDINI. Priya is a graduate student, studying for her PhD in Economics. Improv allowed her to come out of her shell, sort of like an egg yolk or a baby chicken. She believes in the power of the universe!
